The bvand playing on that track is The Mothers. The instrumental bed bhind Antennae Jimmy Semen's monologue was eventually released by Zappa on vol. 5 of the Stage series as "Charles Ives."

In the 8th Grade, our English teacher had us bring in our favorite poem and read it in front of the class. I picked "Neon Meate Dream of a Octafish." The class already thought I was nuts, and this confirmed it.

For whatever reason, I didn't get laid until much later in life.....

On the whole, I'd rather hear John "Drumbo" French play by himself than Jimmy Carl Black and Artie Tripp III (and I'm a huge Zappa fan)
