Man Injured When His Outhouse Falls On Him

A MAN was injured when his backyard outhouse fell on him in a bizarre road accident in Melbourne's inner north this evening.

A utility taking an exit off the Eastern Freeway failed to stop and shot across busy Hoddle St in Abbotsford about 7pm (AEDT) today to plough through the back fence of a house, a Victoria Police spokesman said.

The utility then struck a brick outhouse - which collapsed on a man in the yard - before crashing into a neighbouring house, the spokeswoman said.

Ambulance paramedic Ross Pollard said the man in the yard had a lucky escape.

"Bystanders had to pull him out from under the bricks," Mr Pollard said.

I've used several outhouses, never had one fall in on me though. I will admit that I was always paranoid about a snake biting me on the ass while I was taking care of business however.
