A christmas memory....
I was kicked out of high school in AL for a week for writing a parody of the Christmas story called "Joseph and The Virgin Harry."

Bastards had no sense of humor.

That was over thirty years ago and attitudes seem to have gone further south than even then.

2. LOL... It was thirty years ago...
It wasn't a gay theme, more a shock for poor Harry discovering he was preggers.

The ensuing dilemma of trying to explain the situation to boarding houses and Motel 6's as Harry and his Bud tried to find a room made the crux of the story.

I still think it's a great premise. Hey, a miracle virgin birth, the aim a little off.... The potential for comedy is there.

4. Haha! That's great!
I love stories that are based on one small quirk of unreality.

5. Do you still have a copy of it?
Post it. It sounds like a really funny story!

6. I wish I did....
It is a great memory and I remember the Assistant Principal trying to choke back laughter as he read it in front of the upset fundie Journalism teacher.

7. Hey, thanks for the flashback
When I was in grade school, I got in trouble with my mom for, uh, composing some alternative lyrics to the song that goes, "Once within a lowly manger." It seemed really funny to me at the time, and I can't tell you why I thought my mom would appareciate it, but her reaction was horribly traumatic.
