Is it wrong for me to be attracted to someone who causes me pain?

My dental hygienist is cute as hell, has a great sense of humor, and makes me laugh. . . . all while causing me pain and making me bleed while she does scaling and such on my poor gums and teeth.

So, am I a masochist, or is this normal? :) :) :)

Honestly, if she's causing you significant discomfort (pain!) while scaling your teeth, she may not be "that great" of a dental hygienist.

I'd go to another dental facility but ask her out on a date during your last "torture session" uhhh ... that is "cleaning." <eg>

There's just those spots on the outskirts where the novacaine doesn't really have full effect.

She's actually quite good at it :).

But, thanks to how bad my gums were (I have moderate periodontitis that we're trying to clear up), there was a LOT of blood involved, she and I were actually joking about how much was going to waste and that the Red Cross would have really appreciated the donation :).
