He always gives them to Matcom for a while, Matcom takes them in a room, closes and locks the door, strange and frightening noises ensue and then he comes out of the room with a beatific smile on his face, returns them to DS1 and DS1 puts them back.

Of course, the avatars seem soiled, somehow, after this...
