How is I70 through Indianapolis and 74 into Cincinnati?
I'm trying to find out if they are passable before we decide whether or not to leave.

Thanks.

1. If you guys got the kind of snow that we got in Ohio
then I'd recommend staying home and DUing. We got 13" here in southwest Ohio.

If you do head out give yourself about 2 times the amount of time it would normally take you to do the trip. That is if you guys got the same weather we did.

If nobody gives a definitive answer, then try calling the highway patrol. They will know if there are any restrictions on who can use the road and if there are any closures.

3. Should be OK
The worst snow hit well south of I-70. I'm on the western edge of it in Terre Haute, we only got six inches, and Marion County (Indianapolis) is fine. The spot you have to worry about will be around Cincinnati - I'm not sure if they got hit or not, but they mostly got a shitload of ice in Ohio.

4. Thanks, we made it!
We skipped the part of 74 that was reported to be still closed and took 70 to Dayton then 75 to Cinti. Roads were clear.

Thanks.

I live about 2 miles from I-75 off the West Carrollton exit (exit 47). You all should have told me you were coming this way and you could have stopped by and got a dose of holiday cheer from me in the form of a Miller Lite.

Glad you made it to your destination safely. Do you all plan on hitting the casino while your in Cincy?

6. Nope, I only lose when I gamble.
And I lose quite a bit when I don't.

Sorry we didn't know you were there. We were pretty beat by that stretch of road anyway.

Thanks.

area. I'm almost fifty. I've had two cars die on me in my entire life. Both of them died within a mile of each other in Bloomington Indiana, which I've visted only twice...

edit: s/died/die/
