Thanks for the "Tacky Ornament" ideas! I went with the Tampon Angel.

Thanks to all of you who inspired me to create a tampon angel.

It took less time to dry than I thought it would.

I cut up the plastic applicator to make a head and a halo, and I snipped some hair from my dog to complete the masterpiece.

The string works beautifully as a hanger, too!

I used the wrapper as the wings, and I applied a little red and pink blush for a gently used look.

Nail polish for the eyes, nose and mouth (blue for eyeshadow), and I'll be done.

The competition is tonight (Festivus gathering).

I'll post pictures tomorrow!
