Well, My Mom Is FINALLY Out Of The Hospital

She had a stent put into the ureter yesteray and was put on medication to enhance kidney function. 9 DAYS in the hospital trying to figure out what was going on!

She will probably have to have surgery in February to permanently correct the blockage, but they won't bother with that if the kidney function doesn't improve.

Anyway, thanks to all who showed concern last week when i posted.

7. Well, It's A Little Weird For Us

My dad struggled to get through Christmas, just 4 years ago, and died at the end of January, because he didn't want to die at the holidays and make everyone remember that every Chistmastime.

Now, she goes in just before the holiday week. So, my sister and i (and the 3 cousins my parents raised) are seeing deja vu, all over again!

I think, however, that this is not the downslide my dad went through.

my brother went home on Monday-they took his lymphnodes and one jugular vein out. Tongue cancer. They aren't sure (now) if the chemo/radiation worked completely.
