I have to "work" tomorrow (half day) and then we'll be off to Ma and Pappy's casa in Bakersfield.

I just want to take a little moment to tell all of you that I love you.

It has been an emotional year for all of us. Ups and downs. We thought that we would see the light at the end of the tunnel, but it's still within our reach.

NEVER give up. NEVER throw in the towel. We are all made from a much stronger cloth than that.

You people have since 2001 given me hope, love, laughter and the spirit to continue to fight for what is right and what we believe in.

I gotta share a story.

My mom and step-paps belong to their local Moose Lodge. Now here they are, the few, the proud, the liberal in that place.

There's this guy who likes to throw the "queer" word and many other offensive words around.

My mom has told my Pappy to chill out and not get into political fights there. Which of course my Pa does .... god I love this man. Anyway, this shit head threw one too many "queer bombs" for my mom's taste and she told Pappy that this guy was walking on thin ice. One more word and Mom was gonna rip his balls off and had them to them on a silver platter.

WELL. Mr. Redneck Asswipe found out via another Moose'er that Chuckie (my mom's nickname) has a homersex'al son. Well ol' Red was all apologizing to my step-dad saying "oh I feel so bad, I didn't know that Chuckie's son is gay" ... my Pappy says "Yeah and so is my Grand-daughter!".

and I know how you feel.

I lost my dad in 2002 and my brother in 1989, it sucks to think about the holidays when they were here and the time I lost with my dad over the years. But we move on and make the best of the family that we have treasure the memories.

My favorite is of my brother in the mid 1980's.

We used to always play "Charades" on X-mas eve. My brother was on the other team and got (my question) "Pineapple Princess" which is a song my Annette Funichello.

This went on and on and one. My brother and I could not believe that my cousins, Aunt, Uncle and so could not get this. My brother and I used to sing and laugh about that damn song over and over when we were kids.

It got down to the point that he was doing the "sounds like" and breaking the words down to syllables.

Finally he got pissed and said "What the fuck rhymes apple that grows on a god-damn tree is Hawaii!!". I have this on tape.

My brother, what a fucking mess!
