I have a weird relationship with this co-worker...
my company hired him a few years ago after they hired me...we are a small company (about 30 people) and we (the two of us) do not interact much, if at all, during the day...however....since day one when I met him walking past each other I said "hello" only to be met with his complete ignorance of me, like staring off into space, followed by this happening again and again...at least three times!... I decided (so I'm stubborn and do not like intentional snubs) I would ignore him too and any time we would walk by each other I would stare off into space and not even acknowledge his existence...Which is just weird! Especially after a couple of years!

Today at lunchtime I went to the parking lot and turned the corner and almost ran into him...I said "hello! ", out of forced fright maybe, and he just stared at the sky and walked on by without acknowledging my presence...
And yes I do see him talking it up with other people who I also talk to...and I just think this is too weird...I have no idea what is going on...

6. you made me laugh! ha ha!
what's weird is this guy is a ringer for Edgar Durby from the movie "Slaughterhouse Five"....he looks like an affable chap but what's the deal with the personal snub?

I have a feeling it will eventually come down to me yelling at him "What's your fucking problem with me!?!"

9. If you do that he might start laughing
I thought he might have a schizoid personality type until you said he chats with other people. Schizoid personality types tend to avoid social interaction.

Do you have a bad reputation at work? Maybe he's afraid of you.

7. Three things...
...He either is attracted to you and is standoffish, or he is intimidated by you and as a result, is an asshole, or he knows you are a Democrat, and hates you.

8. are any of the people he does talk to
people you would trust with a confidence? If so, maybe you could ask one of them if they have (or could find out) any idea why he apparently snubs you.

Or you could arrange a way to walk into him, and see if that knocks a word out of him. :)

That does seem very strange. Those are the only two ideas I could think of for penetrating this mystery.

10. Next near collision you have, look him right in the eye and say...
..."got wood?" :spank:

Seriously, he's probably just shy.

11. I think he's plotting to kill you
be careful, he's not right in the head. He is a sociopath - able to fool some, but he doesn't even try to fool you, because he knows you already sense his freak vibe.
