WinMX Users
Am I the only one with this problem... when going to download MP3s I'll find one and it will be like 5 of 5 Available or 4 of 6 Available, I'll go to download them and either they will just say Remotely Queued or just hang on "waiting for incoming connection" and then go to red.

My friends say their downloads start right away when they find a file that has something that says 5 of 5 available.

I was just wondering if anybody knows what's up, maybe something in my settings?

1. I've Had Varying Success with WinMX
It doesn't seem to matter what the list says about how many connections are available. I just keep trying until a connection is made. It is frustrating when one looks promising but then goes to red.

2. lol
I know... some songs it takes me like a week to download, and these aren't rare songs.. like 30 people will come saying x of x available and none of them will connect right away.

However, WinMX gives me the most results than any other file sharer out there. Kazaa was good but since my fucking friend decided to download the latest version for my comp it doesn't seem to show much for results when I search.

3. I Avoid Kazaa Like the Plague
and I've threatened my sons with dire punishment if they load it on my computer again. I haven't had the least bit of trouble with spyware & browser hijackings since eliminating it altogether (never happened - ever - with WinMX).

4. Ya I hear ya
The spyware was annoying and messed my comp up until I got some Spyware removal software, but it was so nice to get MP3s in a minute and even rare songs I liked. A small sacrafice :)

5. I think it depends on how much media you make available
from your hard drive. That puts you higher up in the queue.

6. Win MX used to be the best program of its kind
...other than Napster in it's best days, but the Win MX networks have become clogged with too many bullshit files, probably planted by the RIAA fascist shitheads.

Unfortunately, there's no way to get around the cues.
