I showed the sister I lived with, (who never cries at anything and I accuse of being heartless) and she was like .. "eh, its ok." Its a mama cat and kitten with the most darling face-to-face pose. It would make a perfect Christmas card cover.

15. Funny thing is, as a kid, I didn't really like cats

I was strictly a dog person. I had a collie, and my sister had a cat-one of those offish, aloof, uninvolved animals.

Then I adopted my cat Peewee in college. I LOVED him, but I still wasn't crazy about other cats; especially long haired, blue eyed, and most of all-flat faced cats. They seemed artificial somehow.

Well, now I own three cats, and only one of them has short hair! I also find that blue-eyed Ragdoll really appealing-ack! What's happening to me! God forbid I should ever warm up to Persians....

I think I visited Wannabe's page yesterday in the "we miss you" section. I hope I'm wrong about that, because I'd hate to think that you lost a kitty too (I'm still missing my Peewee terribly, especially during this time of year).

21. Actually, we lost two cats within a month of one another.

Wannabe just suddenly became ill, had a gran mal seizure and my husband took her to the vets..she had a massive tumor in her throat. She was a very reclusive cat and so we didn't have much chance to look in her mouth or we might have noticed it. So she had to be put down; this was in early May, right before my younger cats(Clark,Lewis, CatZilla & Moo) were born.

Then in July, we had to have our old Scamp put down. She was 17, and my daughter was so young when we got Scamp that she has no memory of life without her. She had been failing for quite some time and just when we thought all was lost, she would revive for a while, then decline again. Finally we just felt like it was time. Fortunately, we had the opportunity to get some fabulous photos of her with the young babies who were just getting out in the world at that time. They just thought she was really neat, and would huddle around her in big piles.

So that is my sad story of elderly cats who shared their lives with us and gave us much joy. I love the new guys and they are such sweethearts, but we will always miss Scamp and Wannabe.

Thanks for caring and thanks for making a friends link with my kitties. I know you miss your PeeWee terribly; sometimes you just bond with one and there is no explaining it! At somepoint I am going to add my most lamented cat, ATlas to catster.com. He has been gone 18 years and I still miss that big lug.

Did you see the pictures of my sister's farm cats in the family section on Wannabe? There are some crazy shots in there.
