|
Edited on Sat Dec-25-04 01:25 AM by Revolutionary_Acts04
'Cause we did!
I got...
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King Extended Edition. Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell. America (the book). Trivial Pursuit: The Lord of the Rings Edition. This kick ass Lord of the Rings Calender, its huge and the pictures are of the movie posters. This body spray I love. The new U2 CD. The Chronicles of Narnia.
Hmm... can you tell what I like? It would appear to be books and The Lord of the Rings.. LOL :)
so what did you all get?

We always open the family presents on Christmas Eve. Then, when we were little, we'd get up Christmas morning to find the loot Santa left us.
My best present: My niece gave me a copy of Jon Stewart's "America (the Book)" I love it.

I will celebrate next year. This year, I plan to watch some movies and order Chinese food with friends. It has been wonderful not to have holiday stress! I just couldn't deal with it this year.
You had a pretty good haul this year!

|
Well, this year my brother and his girlfriend both got me presents, and the extended Lord of the Rings is really more like present for the whole family, but because I'm the super obsessive freak fan, they say its mine... and I don't complain about that. ;) :7

I have 4 sisters and 14 kids between us.Its a kind of large family so we all open gifts on xmas eve so we can spend xmas morning with our own families.Alot less running around.
I got a really nice belleek vase, several books I wanted , an art deco filigree ring, complete bed set,a pair of ugs,a godiva basket. Now to my favorite things I got. My sister Beth made me a sisters journal.I was really touched by it. My niece got me a candle. It came from the heart. My other niece made me a scarf.I received a homemade card from my 7 year old niece that made my heart smile. The best present ever was my children`s reactions to their presents.

23. What is the "sisters journal" like? I'm intrigued. |
|
I mean, is it one journal for sisters to pass back and forth, or how is it done?
Thanks for the info!
Merry Christmas!

|
Great book. You made out like a bandit :)
We haven't opened ours, yet. I prefer Christmas morning, but it is tempting :) I can't wait for my kiddos to open their presents. I got my 3 year old a Thomas the Tank Engine train set. He's been into trains a lot lately, so I think he's going to love it. My 14 month old got a Weebles farm set. They got a lot of other stuff, too, but I predict those things will be the biggest hits, aside from the boxes everything came in, of course.

My parents bought some new large appliance, like a refrigerator. I don't remember exactly what it was. My dad is very artistic; with paint, glue and deft skill with an exacto knife, he turned it into the coolest playhouse. You couldn't tell it was a big cardboard box in its previous life. I hadn't thought of that for years. :)

but we opened each others this afternoon because she had to work tonight. They were mostly token gifts since our main gift to each other is a trip to Hawaii in March. We went in October and had such a good time we decided to go back.:)

A bunch of candy. Liquor filled chocolates. A bunch of Ayn Rand books. A DVD player for my dorm room. An amusing towel with half of it one color saying "Face" and the other a different color saying "Butt." A packing slip for my radar detector that hasn't arrived yet.
