Anyone remember this song by The Cure? "Killing an Arab"

I worked out this afternoon and grabbed one of my Cure CDs and this was the first song:

It's apparently based on Camus' book "The Stranger" but as I was working out and this song was on, the only thing I could think was "Whoa."

Wasn't it done in the mid to late eighties? I seem to remember it from high school.

He wrote it in the early 80s, maybe even late 70s.

It's first on The Cure's "Staring At the Sea • The Singles" CD that I was listening to as I tried to fall asleep last night. :P
