Spiritof Christmas - which family member would you most like to hit?
My Dad REALLY pissed me off earlier - he's been drinking so I'll forgive him... But I swear when I;m older my family wil have sensitivity for each other.
You?

19. I'm a Step Monster - I try not to be Evil!
We've been married 13 years and mixed 4 kids. I can honestly say I absolutely love and adore all of my kids and I refuse to use the word "step". It hasn't always been easy and we've had our share of disputes but I can say it's worked out.

21. That's awesome....
My step-monster has no interest in combining the two families.
She wants my father to have no contact with his children from before. She is a selfish jerk. However, my father is a whimp who refuses to push back when his wife pushes his children from his first marriage out of his life.

They both are to blame.

Keep up the good work with yours!

7. Sister-in-law -- hubby's brother's wife -- everyone in my family wants
to hit her, my husband too. Today she was defending Vioxx for some reason. I stayed out of most political discussions today, only adding that the repuke gov. here is going to jail for 2-5 years, way to go repukes. I then promptly left.

8. My nephew
the 20 year old b@$tard who thinks my 80 year old father is his slave. He takes advantage of the poor man, who's got a good heart and always wants to help.

I'd love to see that f**cker get his own one day soon. :grr:

9. this is horrible, but my 7 year old nephew ... he chants presents presents
presents, is that for me? presents presents presents presents presents presents presents presents presents .no matter how much we tell him to stop... the second they open the door, while i am trying to say hello , take off my coat, etc . the chant starts... i have not been able to stall him for five minutes either, because it's impossible to listen to the chant for that long.in fact we have opened gifts while i was still standing there in my coat!! then he unwraps them and tosses them over his shoulder without looking at them and says what else did you get me? is that it? ew, what is his? isn't there more? mommy tell aunt betty to go back to toys r us!
then he watches tv and only looks away during the commercials to make sure that me and his little brother aren't playing ot talking or anything, if we are he disrupts us and pretends he wants to play and goes back to ignoring us as soon as the commercial is over.
and hour later he says didn't you get me anything?
i am going to glue his selfish little face to the tv set if he don't learn some manners!

15. My Mother in law..total rant
This feels good. My total rant so I don't rant at my husband about this.

We were supposed to arrive at my b-i-l and s-i-l's house at 3. We drove 2 and a 1/2 hours and arrived at 2:45. Mother and Father in law didn't arrive until 4:30. I went over to sit down and visit. I was talking to my brother in law about buying blue. He was the one who brought up the issue and was asking questions about which stores to boycott. I just gave information. M-i-l starts on a rant about how some can't afford to do this. I say that's true, but I'm just relaying what I'm trying to do this. I agree with her and say I'm just relaying information on what I'm trying to do. I say something about it being hard, and maybe impossible for many, but I'm trying. She then starts into how sanctimonious I am. I change the subject.

A second b-i-l comes up and starts in on the jokes about the presents we gave the various nieces and nephews. He's talking about the pictures on the box, etc. Then looks worriedly at me, wondering if he offended me. I just laugh and say I think it's funny, too. It's common in this family to make fun of each other. Then my mother in law starts in on me. Well, I don't think it's funny. Those are nice gifts and it's not right for you (meaning me) to make fun of them. I never made fun of the gifts. HER SON DID. This goes on for about 5 minutes. I finally interrupt and say, "I gave those gifts." Why did she rant at me?

This is the same woman who never said thank you after we paid for and hosted her and my f-i-l's entire 50th wedding celebration. Not one word of thanks to me. She also called on the 23rd and asked me to go buy additions for the dinner my b-i-l and s-i-l were hosting. I said that I should check with them and what they planned. I also said I wasn't sure I could go shopping on Christmas Eve. She got furious at me for refusing.

I avoided her the rest of the night.
