1. I gave my brother a bottle of Makers Mark for Christmas
and he was delighted. But I think bourbon tastes like oven cleaner.

5. Nice. too bad I don't drink much these days.
To answer your question, I'd have to go with Jim Beam by default. Bourbon never sat well with me.

7. Some people like it, some don't. I love it...can't stand scotch, though.

12. Eagle Rare Single barrel
Woodford Reserve, Knob Creek. I heard some good stuff about a reentry into the market, Old Pogue.

Right now it is expensive, but those who have tried it say it is worth the extra cash.

I tell you, Eagle Rare is as good as Bourbon gets. It is much smoother than Knob Creek. Drink it neat, or a couple drops of water to bring out the complexities. Drinking it neat you will find some nice vanilla flavors. I didn't think I could find anything better than Woodford Reserve, but I have.

16. Basil Hayden's is a fine bourbon
and for the price, it's hard to beat Old Forester.

And remember folks, if whiskey is not made in Kentucky, it aint bourbon i.e. Jack Daniels is not bourbon
