Is there much of an industry for photjournalists or graphic artists?

take a look around you...everything you look at was designed by a graphic designer, everything that was ever built was influenced by a product designer...idk so much about the photojournalism, i honestly think that's on the downfall, considering the lack of work for a photojournalist...but graphic design is on the up, it always is...it just takes a lot of hard work, and some originality and creativity, and you can go far.

2. My mother in law lost her job in graphic arts last year after 25 years

in the biz. She has not been able to get another one. Many are using computer programs and old ads. She's quite bummed about it.
