6. It's kind of hard to explain

Nothing motivates a person to speak like the opportunity to lay into someone. Here is my crack at explaining it. Many get flamed because someone feels that they must tell them something "that needs to be said" Thus while a poster might be able to go for a good period of time without firing off angry posts, he/she is most noticable when lashing out in anger. Two reasons for this: 1 nobody notices all the posts where you just chime in with the general consensus of the thread and 2 often when people look at a thread and someone has already given an opinion similar to theirs they just keep going and don't post. Posters are at their most noticable when they see something that they feel is dumb and just have to set everyone straight. It can even get to the point where the person becomes so engrossed in fighting the heretical posts of others that they don't spend any time on issues where they aren't fighting tooth and nail

Actually, I find myself at times with a disturbing lack of respect for many so-called democrats. I have to remind myself of the toll taken on us all by the cognitive dissonance machine in Washington. We are bruised and bloodied right now. Things are raw. We each try to deal with it as best we can, and some of us don't deal with it very well at all. I try to forgive others their trespasses where I can.
