after Christmas dinner yesterday at the folks, thank God no repuks showed up, we all went home. But not before Daddy complained of chest pain but said he felt better after an Alka Seltzer, he said it wasn't like when he had the heart attack 6 years ago, so we all left, mind you the roads are SHITTY here. 23 inches of snow all total. I live the cloest to my folks the rest live out of town, I was home about an hour when Daddy called and said " can you come back over here" and I said yeah why", he said "I think I need to go to the hospital" I was out to the car in one step and our street is one lane because of the snow and some idiot had all but blocked it and how I got past her car is amazing. I still don't know how I did it without wrecking both cars except that I was praying out loud. I put the emergency flashers on and got to the highway and ran to lights praying out loud and shaking so bad I don't know how I got there, their road is worse than mine but not far from the main road they got out to the car and Daddy hurt so bad he was crying, my Dad doesn't cry. We made the trip in less then 10 minutes( a good 20 minute trip from my house to theirs to the ER. with pain down his arm and in his chest and our ER staff is tops, he is in the ICU for the second night doing well, they will do some test and a possible heart Cath tomorrow Please keep him in you prayers.

2. My prayers are with him
My dad doesn't have a heart condition, but he has emphesema (sp?) and we have had to call the squad on him a few times. Why didn't you call the squad? My husband has heart condition and he needs to get a cath, but keeps saying he's to busy.

Keep up the faith.

7. Perhaps you should stay with her

for her sake and to avoid any extra dangerous trips by you ...

If your husband can hold things together by himself for a few days.

8. Nope, My Mom said she would rather
I went home. My Sister came to town and Mom sent her home too. Go figure. She's the VERY nervous type. I don't want to upset her Karma

It's amazing what you can do when it has to be done. I'm glad you were able to get there safely and help your father. Take care of yourself and your mom.
