...his new friends, Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg. They sat around the apartment, sharing a joint. By 4:00 a.m., the three men were all sound asleep.

At around 7:30, Ginsberg woke up hungry. Checking the fridge, he saw nothing but a package of livers. As he pulled them out, Kerouac woke up to pee. As Kerouac exited the bathroom, Ginsberg, feeling mischievous, whipped one of the livers across the room, striking Kerouac's arm. Chuckling, Kerouac threw the liver back at Ginsberg.
Within seconds, a food fight was in progress.

Kerouac and Ginsberg threw the livers at one another, laughing uproariously and waking up Phillip Glass, who looked up just in time to get smacked in the face with an airborne liver. Furious, yelled epithets at the others, put his shoes on, and stormed out of the apartment.

The moral of this story: Stoned people who house Glass shouldn't throw livers!
