9. Yep
The Rolling Stones did it as well but I'm not sure which came first.

I remember the Carly Simon version, as well.

10. Carly Simon
wrote the song and many people thought she was referring to Mick Jagger.

The Washington Post - 1983

WP: Who was ‘You’re So Vain about? Mick Jagger?

Carly: No.

WP: Warren Beatty?

Carly: It certainly sounds like it was about Warren Beatty. He certainly thought it was about him - he called me and said thanks for the song….

WP: You had gone with him?

Carly: Hasn’t everybody?

WP: No.

Carly: That only means you haven’t met him, though at the time I met him he was still relatively undiscovered as a Don Juan. I felt I was one among thousands at that point – it hadn’t reached, you know, the populations of small countries….

The Rolling Stones then covered it??????

13. Maybe I'm wrong
But I thought they had.

In my defense, I take meds that make me forget things, as well as make it difficult to concentrate.

The 70s/80s are pretty much a blur for me
