Mr B wants to move!!! I don't want too!! |
|
We both have hour long commutes...makes child care and living a bit stressful at times..(especially winter)... but now he is in his moving mood again and I hate it.
I hate the idea of moving..I have friends in my community and county. I am a Dem committee woman...I am settled and I really don't want to pack anything...
I also have kids in school and I just can't fathom moving them anywhere closer...
Personally my dream was to move to the city of Pittsburgh after my kids finished high school...cuz I love city living and I do love that fair city...in spite of all its problems...

1. Where does he want to move to? Closer to work? Just getting a different |
|
house?
What is his reason? Does he just get antsy every so often and want to move?

we live in the Pittsburgh area and we live on the east side. We both work on the west side of da burgh...however he has only been at his current job for about a year...(i have been at mine over 7)... Personally living in the city would be the best choice but the schools have a bad reputation and with a child who has special needs that have just been ironed out...I don't need a move right now...
as to the antsy part...he grew up in large spacious "palatial" type homes and we ilve in a hut compared to that experience (3 bed ranch)...so he longs for what he grew up with.....but I don't....

3. I am fighting the same battle. |
|
We have moved 4 times in the last 13 yrs. My husband promised me when we moved to Midland 4 yrs ago, that this was the LAST move. Guess what? Now he wants to move BACK to our home town. I feel like we've made a giant loop. He has had 5 different jobs and now wants to go back to the first one! I am at the peak of my profession, a supervisor. I love the lab I work at, great bosses and just the best crew anybody has ever gotten the chance to work with. I love my techs and aids. My son is just thriving at his school here, I don't want to drag him away from it. My husband is now driving to Abilene 3 days a week to work. I just hate that our family is ripped apart by this.

4. Your husband's commute is far worse than my hubby's |
|
but I also understand your position as well, once you find a situation you like it is hard to leave it..
I have fought this battle for over 9 years....I just hate the idea of moving. I could stay in my house until the kids leave the nest..
