1. Jimmy Webb wrote that though if I recall |
|
He wrote a lot of great songs for Campbell and Johnny Rivers.

whose time may have come back.

and he said that the real linemen hated this song, for inaccuracies and silliness. I rather liked it, especially the melody.

I'd have to edit it so much, under those conditions, that it'd make even less sense. :-)
By the time I find the Kleenex I'll be (something) I'll (something) my (something) and (something) in the (something) And I'll (something) when I (something) and then (something) 'Cos I've (something)'d that (something) so many times before...

Substitute the words:
forking sugar sorority (think frat) gourd fudge
I have a six year old. The people at work think it's hilarious when I shout,"FORKING FUDGE, where did my file go?!"

with a heavy load from seeds he's sowed If you see your sister falling by the way Just stop and say You're going the wrong way
You've got to try a little kindness try a little kindness shine your light for everyone to see and if you try a little kindness then you'll overlook the blindness of the narrow minded people on the narrow minded street
(I think I got that right - haven't heard it in many years)

|
an anti establishment rebellion. The music sure is angry,we have a war,the youth don't give a shit about elections.

8. I believed the seeds were sown in the late 90's |
|
for a strong reaction against those in "power" or control financially, but it never materialized to the extent I had hoped. Maybe part of the reason is the fear of technology that identifies everyone seemingly instantly? Maybe not enough of a "boom" generation to carry enough weight? Maybe original boomers "conservatizing" and not willing to give up the access to music, news, etc. I don't know.
