I don't know why I have such a block about returning library books. |
|
I have six at my house right now. Four are due tomorrow and two were due on the 14th. There is a branch a few blocks from my house but apparently it is too much trouble for me to drop them off.
And it also too much trouble for me to call them too. If I call I can renew my books for two weeks. I am so lazy.
I don't mind paying the late fees though. The city keeps cutting the library budget and I figure that my fines can help them somewhat.

1. You would happen to live in Dayton, Ohio would you? |

Our libraries are getting their funding cut by the state, so I would assume that all libraries in the state are suffering. My sister works for the Miamisburg branch.
Get them books back to the library! There's probably someone on a waiting list waiting for you to return them.

This year they decided to close all branches on Sunday and open only one on Monday. The branch near my house is a few years old and still has LOTS of empty space on the shelves. Of course this one is near a few housing projects so it probably gets less money than the ones in the better parts of town.

4. I do that too! Sometimes I renew online, but if I don't I just let my |
|
laziness take over. I get them back a few days later, when I finally feel like it, but don't feel ANY guilt because I am giving them money, and I'm glad I am, they need it. Win-win! Weird, huh?

5. Oh I have the same problem! |
|
I don't know what the deal is about it!
I had $40 in fines the last time! I could have bought several of the books for that.

6. I can renew mine online. |

I always want more books to read so I have no problems going back to the library. I am an active user of the inter-library loan program. I love libraries.

9. I go all the time too. |
|
but I will check out new books while the old, almost overdue, books languish at my house. Usually on the other side of my bed. Whenever my boyfriend stays over he gives me a difficult time about all the stuff on my bed under the covers: lotion, cds and cd player, books..
