Anyone with AOL saddened at the Welcome Page? |

I signed on and I got a picture of three women yelling in a bar with drinks in their hands and expensive clothing on their bodies and the headline in large font: "Have You Picked a Place for New Years Yet?" underneath the picture a tiny headline that says "24,000 Thousand Dead in the Far East". Oh the priorities....

but a few others. They're a RW rag now anyhow. I've been with them so long, though, because of my email, that it's hard to leave. (I've been a member for 12 years)
I barely look at it, anyhow. A few games, my email, and I'm outa there.

2. Just your verbal description is brutal enough |

I know what you mean with that sort of thing, I really, really do. In this age of USA Today-ification of "news/lifestyle/info-tainment" I'm always noticing ugly juxtapositions like that one. But that one does sound more ugly than most.
Ugh. Ugh. Ugh.

I am glad to know that I am not alone in the world with my thoughts that the news media is run by buffons. Maybe this is all we deserve. (I don't mean most of the people around here).

But I have had this E-mail address for over six years and I find AOL's E-mail to be more stress-free than Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.
