Live your life as if it was the last few hours or months... |
|
or the last few days... That is what my parents thought me. My mom was a christian conservative and my dad used to be a liberal.. With time my Mom became a liberal while my Dad became more of a conservative. She wanted Kerry as the next american president, while my Dad wanted Bushco, cause it fitted his idea of a patriarchal society.
Go figure.
We live in the province of Québec where , in theory, we don't need to worry about the next american president.

1. Strange how the philosophies morphed... |
|
We never got a party line in my house, but mom was a dem, as were her parents. But they never talked politics, although later on Gmom used to get mad at the rethugs - I could never get interested or follow their family discussions.
we did get overdosed on helping the poor (and we were broke). I remember taking my mom out for lunch, and she later handed the doggie bag to a homeless guy. I was mortified then, but I'd be proud of her now.

It seems your parents went in different ways politically; hope the rest is still okay.
I grew up in a household full of radicals and had to endure my friends' assessment of my life as, therefore, having to be super-keen. It was politically, but not in other ways.
Go figure.
