6th-grader gives teacher 1-carat diamond for Christmas
CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston, S.C., middle school teacher Rebecca Kutcher will never forgot one Christmas gift from a sixth-grader.

It was a cubic zirconia necklace. Or so she thought.

When the Laing Middle School teacher thanked the parents for the gift, Kutcher found out they had been looking for the missing one-carat diamond necklace for a month.

Other teacher gifts aren't nearly so valuable. First-grade teacher Jane Schuler got hair curlers one year and a pair of men's socks, size 10-to-13, another Christmas. She notes her feet aren't nearly that big.

12. It says the parents had been looking for the necklace
for a month. Sounds like junior decided it would look better on teacher than on mom.

7. My sister works at a chi-chi private school
and riiiiiight before she starts sending out letters of recommendations to Ivy League schools she starts getting an assortment of incredible gifts. When she had a baby she got Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger clothes. My poor little rug rat got garage sale stuff - and looked just as cute ;)

The Grove, since this is the kid's last year at the school and the teachers have to give recommendations.

We were all a LITTLE appalled.
