the first time i drove to manhattan. i totall freaked cars were going so close and so fast and the road was bumpy! i was shaking! it actually led to me moving away from my parents.i was scared to drive back. i had a few beers and was more scared. iwas 20 years so iwas honest and told my mom i was crashing at a friends! she tried to get me to drive home and i lied and said i was more buzzed than i was, it was dangerous.
she was afraid i was shacking up with the dude (who was gay, but she wasn't buying it) and cracked me across the face on my corner as i came home the next day. she mainly worried what the neighbors thought! i knew it was time to say so long bronx! but, you get used to it! driving, i mean! and then it's fun!
