What the heck is my problem tonight?!
I can't seem to tear myself away from the computer tonight. I have things to do but I'm not doing them. My wrists are cramping and yet I continue to write mostly useless posts like this one. I'm responding to so many of Will Pitt's posts I feel like I'm stalking him (though in my defense he's responding to my posts and I'm responding to his posts and it's just turning into a breck commercial!)

Ay! How do I break this cycle and get away from....this....damn.....machine!?!!?:nuke:

Nyquil...or another alcohol-based liquid.

2. Ewww
Besides, this is my afternoon. I'm a nightshifter and I don't switch on my days off. I'm more trying to figure out why I'm rotting my brain here instead of doing my laundry, setting up my filing system, eating, doing dishes etc.

Wait, it's avoidance isn't it? Yeah, that's it.

3. I'm doing it, too, and also am getting nothing done
Damn! I never emptied the dishwasher!:-(

I mentioned this to my doctor and she said that she knows people who spend as much time on on-line dating sites, and, at least I'm learning something. I think she's a closet liberal, LOL! But, join the club, I take the time when I can get it. And there's nothing wrong with responding to Will Pitt. He's an excellent writer and always someone who's a pleasure to run into here. So just chill and do what you feel like doing. My doctor said it's okay.:-)

5. I like your doctor
alas, I also know I'm goofing off. I'm going to try the five minute trick soon. Yeah, soon.

The five minute trick is when you set an egg timer for 5 minutes and for that five minutes you do the task you're avoiding (like dishes and laundry and ...) and you only have to do it for five minutes. Then you take a five minute break and so on......

7. Good idea, LOL! And my doctor likes to hear about DU,
seems very interested, so I think she's one of us.:-)

But I'll try your five-minute trick! I just emptied the dishwasher and my poor dog is ready for breakfast! If I ever blew off my dogs, I would resign from DU! I'd never forgive myself!:-(

13. You're most welcome
I was welcomed on my very first post, by newyawker99, which put me at ease, so I try to return the favor, when I can. I'm always ready to welcome another kindred spirit who's managed to find DU. And now I have to get out of this chair and go feed my dogs, LOL! :D

10. I've been taking Concerta for years
but I also have to apply force of will and tonight force of will abandoned me. Even medicated. Though, in the last half hour I have started back on working on the filing, so it hasn't completely abandoned me.
