What bugs you the MOST about Dr. Phil McGraw?
I think he says "how's that workin' for ya?" way too often.

This clip from an SNL skit sums him up:
< cut to interview with Santa Claus from "The Dr. Phil Show" >

Dr. Phil: So, you think that these kids, uh.. won't love you, if.. if you don't give them toys?

Santa Claus: < meekly > I guess you're right..

Dr. Phil: < sighs painfully > You must have a pretty low opinion of yourself.

Santa Claus: I guess I do..

Dr. Phil: I mean.. I want kids all over the world, to love me so much so, that I structure my life around delivering toys to them!

Santa Claus: I see your point..

Dr. Phil: I mean, a rooster only crows so many times before the mama knows a henhouse fulla graham crackers!

Santa Claus: < confused > What the hell does that mean?

4. Dr. Phil

A male Dr. Laura. He strikes me as being totally devoid of any first hand life experience at all, at all, at all!

He has a really good scam going.

IMHO

5. His basic one-dimensional approach to people's psychological
problems, which is basically: "just shape up!". It's a great schtick when you only have an hour less commercial breaks, but it gives the impression that all such problems are easily solvable by cognitive techniques and completely ignores other techniques or the acknowledgement of the unconcious mind. Of course, he handpicks the "clients" and their problems such that it makes it less obvious that his techniques are severely limited. - K

8. that he is a fat man selling diet advice
Why would people buy diet advice from a fat man? I just don't get it. No, he isn't hugely overweight but he could drop 20 or 30 and never miss it. Every time I see his picture I'm puzzled.
