Edited on Wed Dec-29-04 06:19 PM by Hieronymus
you've got to check this out. Thom Hartmann said that he interviewed a guy from this group who said that the White House consults them regularly on forgeign policy.

2. Gotta love their FAQ!
Where did Cain get his wife?

Adam was the first man (1 Cor. 15:45) and Eve is the mother of all living (Gen. 3:20). Genesis 5:4 tells us that Adam and Eve had both sons and daughters besides Cain, Abel and Seth. So Cain married one of his sisters.

"Now wait a minute," someone might say, "doesn't the Bible forbid brothers and sisters to marry?" Yes it does, but that law came many, many years later (in Lev. 18-20). During the time of Cain it was okay to marry siblings. Here's why:

Our genes have mistakes in them. When people who aren't related have children, their offspring inherit different bad genes. But when relatives have children, there is a much greater chance that the children will inherit the same bad genes, resulting in an increased likelihood that they will have birth defects.

But before the fall of man, Adam and Eve had no bad genes (Gen. 1:31). After the fall, Cain and his brothers and sisters had bad genes, but not many. As time went on, the amount of bad genes humans were carrying had increased to the point at which God had to forbid relatives from marrying and having children.

3. "What do I say to a gay loved one about his lifestyle and God's Word?"
"First of all, let me encourage you to, above all, show the love of Christ. Do not allow yourself to get involved in heated debates. That only brings hurt and anger, which closes doors on the truth. Secondly, do not focus on the behavior. It is not the act of homosexuality that God wants to change. It is the heart that is closed to the truth of God's Word that needs to be changed. You can convince someone to change his behavior, but that gets him no closer to Heaven. It is the condition of the heart that needs to be changed and then the behaviors will naturally follow.

God Word says that He is powerful and effective even to demolish strongholds (read 2 Corinthians 10). So, point your loved one to the love of Christ through the Word of God and show him that God does not call him to perfect himself before he can come to the cross, but that at the foot of the cross is where Christ will begin His work.

Above all, pray for him constantly and ask God to give you guidance as you reach out in love. James 5:16 states: "The earnest prayer of a righteous man has great power and wonderful results" (TLB)."

Oy.

4. Do animals have souls?

Animals clearly do not have souls. This question is sparked over thoughts of what will happen to pets like dogs and cats when their lives end or when we're raptured. Over the years there have been trillions of animals on the earth, and heaven would be a very crowded place if each one of had a soul.

The fact that animals don't have a soul is, in a way, an advantage to them. I've lost several pets over the years, and I firmly believe that in Heaven I can ask God to bring each one back to life. With humans this outcome is not possible. I've had several relatives die in what I feared was a lost state. If I should make Heaven my home, I know I'll never see them again.

If I were a dog, I'd want a Christian as my master.

What shitheads these fundies be!

7. funny - and scary!
~snip~

So what's the bottom line?

This is why it is so important to come to faith in Jesus now. Better to be safe than sorry!

Trust me on this one--hedging your bet by waiting on the Rapture is a risky position to be in. I can assure you that you don't want to be driving down the highway being followed by an 18-wheeler driven by a born-again Christian when the Rapture happens. By the time you realize what hit you, it will be too late.

Are you really willing to gamble on the odds that you will live long enough to get a second chance?

The fact that people actually believe this is frightening!

8. Someone should tell those folk....
that the tsunami was the rapture and they got left behind. You think they would commit suicide and leave the rest of us in peace!

9. Check out this email someone sent them:
I'd like to know why you and your partner aren't helping your God-annointed "Christian" President protect your "Christian" beliefs by joining in the "Fight for Freedom & American VALUES" and assisting in the slaughter of thousands of innocent peoples in Iraq? It seems to me that you truly aren't helping much in the preparation for the rapture by simply keeping track of ongoing biblical prophecy via a comfortable website in your home.
Wouldn't your noble & lofty efforts to Christianize the world be fulfilled sooner if you truly demonstrated your beliefs by TAKING ACTION and helping to fight the enemies which your "GOD-FEARING" PRES. BUSH is attempting to thwart?

Although you two talk a fabulous and impressive game, before joining your team of self-righteous & sanctimonious rapture-goers, I'd like an answer regarding why you all seem to be so skittish about taking REAL ACTION in the here-and-NOW by helping to fight the tools of Satan in Iraq and the rest of the world? Why don't you feel that taking real action will help your call-to-Biblical-arms even more by proving to non-believers that you have no fear, and by risking your life to carry out Pres. Bush's (i.e. God's) plan?

Also....just a reminder: In the amount of time you two spent creating this website, former President Carter & his colleagues alleviated more suffering here on EARTH than you could ever hope to accomplish in your sad, sexless lifetimes. Oh, and by the way...isn't that one of the NUMBER ONE commandments of your favorite guy...JESUS? Help the suffering? Assist the needy?

Just something to ponder, but I doubt you ever take the time to humble yourselves long enough to contemplate the BEAUTITUDES of JESUS. There's just too many people to condemn and "warn" about how they're all going to hell, isn't there? Perhaps it's time to quit focusing on how lucky you are that you're going to be raptured, and try putting a little Jesus action into your here-and-now time?

Good luck and GOD BLESS.--Just another idiot sinner who most likely will be frying in hell
