Dammit shortbus. There was NO NEED to taste that wine!
The cork didn't look right, and you damned near fell out when you sniffed it. You KNEW it was bad, but you tasted it anyway. It's just like with the Subway Sub with the bad mayonnaise, all over again. Dumbass!

Whiskey Sour - take me away!

1. What a funny coincidence.
I just now opened some Australian Cabernet (a birthday present) and the part of the cork exposed to the wine had a thick, dark "sludge" on it.

The wine itself tastes more-or-less fine, but it might be a bit "off".

Any ideas? I've never seen anything like this.

27. I have bathed her about once a week. she had a bath a week ago
this was 3 or 4. she is so fluffy and clean. and she got a shot of her favourite crack-yogurt. But she gets that all the time. It's her gravy, her frosting, her crack. Now she is licking her paws dry. She's a kitty in a doggie suit!

:hi:

And you know, she has yeasty ears, so her head fur was getting all crappy from the medicine I have to put in her ears-no amount of perfume would cover that 'greezy' look up! :)

29. She is the finest pup ever
she is such a well-behaved dog. I am teaching her to leave the kitties, the squirrels and the crows alone. She forgets all the time, but she gets good again when I remind her "No _____"

And she's good at not barking. but she has little slips. and she makes little barks in her sleep.

I don't feel much like Popeye, strangely. I feel much more like Hong Kong Phooey's cat.

25. Depends... what color Mango pants?
So few people remember Hong Kong Phooey's cat, Spot... ya know, HE was the one who did all the work that HKP took credit for. He was the brains behind the WHOLE HKP empire.

26. I saw him this afternoon, on Boomerang.
House-sitting has its advantages. ;-)

But the best thing about HKP was ALWAYS the theme song. Chicka-bow!

My mango pants are black. But I DO have access to a sewing machine here. How hard could it be to cover it with gold sequins?

Sorry your bottle turned, shortbus. That sucks.

What was it? A red? A white? Old-ish or new-ish?

Inquiring minds want to know what it WOULD'VE BEEN had it not turned.

:hi:

20. It was a Ravenswood Vintner's blend from the mid-90s.
It would've been slightly tastier than the "Old Smuggler" had it not been lost to malcorking. ;-)
