Her name is Daisy Jane :). I've ALWAYS (well, for about 15+ years) wanted a Golden Retriever so hubby was sneaky and got me one for Christmas! She's absolutely adorable, as you can plainly see, and we already love her a bunch!



This picture is from right before she was falling asleep in the doggy bed belonging to our other doggy.



All she did in the first few days was sleep! Now she's up more and getting into mischief :)

Here daddy is named Dagwood Bumstead and her mommy's name is Blondie. My mom's nickname is already "Cookie" so we named her after Blondie's dog, Daisy :).

It's funny when I tell people how we came up with it and I get blank stares from those who don't know who Blondie is ... mostly the younger kids :).

I've never had one; I grew up around German Shephards, another brilliant breed! I'm excited to teach Daisy all she can absorb, which I've heard is a lot!

18. You don't need a really big place.

I have a 90-pound Rottweiler in a 2-bedroom mobile home. But of course, we go for a walk every evening where I let her run in a big field.

20. Yes, you are correct. Officially, there is a rule where I live

where you can't keep a pet over 40 lbs, although I see many dogs around here which are huge. There is also a quota here of two pets, which I already have. So I guess I should say, when I move where there are no rules, I'll look for a golden. :) I like Rotts, too.
