6. Crusty, Chewy, Super Sourdough Rolls From La Brea Bakery!! |
|
But they have to be from La Brea bakery, here in L.A.! DAMN THESE ARE GOOD!! And you must make a Caprese sandwich, like they do at the Rita Flora lunch counter. Fresh mozerella (the kind in water!), tomatoes, fresh basil leaves, red onion and olive oil on sourdough baguette. YUMMMMMMMM!!!

but, that all depends on what I am eating between the bread...
Ham and cheese, corned beef belong on Jewish Rye with seeds....
Peanut Butter and fried baloney on white bread.....
Kielbasa, on French bread, don't tell my grandma....
But sourdough takes all the above and anything else you might add and makes it almost as good....
I can't imagine, for instance, eating peanut butter and jelly on Jewish rye just as I can't even consider corned beef on white....
But sourdough,,,,,,,,,

Another vote for rye here. Tasts good when used as a hot dog bun too, especially with caraway seeds.
