The Fockers are a GREAT liberal couple & I love them! |
|
Bernie & Roz Focker are my kind of people!
Just saw "Meet the Fockers" & thought Dustin & Babs stole the film. DeNiro comes off as being very much the freeper type & The Fockers use their liberal instincts to help him & his wife out. Anyone else think they make a GREAT couple?

I thought all the actors were good. My faves were Robert DeNiro and Dustin Hoffman. Some of DeNiro's facial expressions and reactions are priceless!

4. So, I should be glad that Mrs Wickerman picked this for tonight |
|
over Life Aquatic?
I wasn't knocked out by Meet the Parents. Will this be good entertainment?

5. I haven't seen Meet the Fockers, but I have seen Life Aquatic |
|
Here's my two cents though. Depending on what kind of mood you are in, you will be happy. If you just want laughs and mindless entertainment, than Meet the Fockers is good. Based of what I've read (not what I've seen), Meet the Fockers won't leave you thinking about it the next day. Life Aquatic on the other hand is a true work of art and wonderfully entertaining. You have to be in the right kind of mood to see it though.

6. Meet the Fockers was not great |
|
I wasn't crazy over the first one. I thought it was a good rental for a night if you just wanna laugh. However, theres something about seeing Babs in this that makes it special. I'm no big fan, but she looks beautiful!!Like she walked off the set of "A Star Is Born" & aged only slightly for the better. It was great seeing her in a comedy again(I loved her in 'Whats Up Doc?')Wish she'd work more. Also enjoyed seeing Dustin in a comedy again. They acted like a REAL married couple (of course, they've known each other for over 30 years which I'm sure helps with the chemistry)
Anyway, they both really impressed me & I thought Babs was holding alot back which is good. They were the perfect example of a liberal family. They loved their son, their intentions were always good, they did not judge & they just seemed happy!

kind of what I hoped to hear. I just left the IMDB message board on Life Aquatic and they fight worse there than DUers do here! :)
I'm really looking forward to ALA, but as today stands (been a nasty day), I am probably better off going for easy laughs tonight.

8. I heard even Bill O'Reilly |
|
Praised Babs for her performance! Question, why is Bill O'Reilly seeing a liberal Hollywood movie with liberal stars in it? Just seems 'The Fockers' isn't the kind of flick Bill would go see.

9. Wow, I am sure Babs is all aglow knowing she |
|
measured up to O'Reilly's standards. :eyes:
Like Bill even HAD a career the last time she made a flick. I don't have a huge amount of love for her (as a former projectionist I had to suffer therough Yentil one too many times) but to think that a puke like O'Reilly can pass judgement, good or bad, on a master like Barb is simply shameful.

10. I agree with you 100% |
|
However, he does it everyday! Liberal Hollywood wants to murder unborn babies & help Bin Laden destroy this country, didn't you know that? Only God's favorites, the Gop are the heroes of Bill O'Reilly's stories!
