Tylenol are Dangerous!
This is a public service announcement.

Tylenol should not be taken if you are suffering from dehydration!

I just found this out the hard way. It seems dehydration is hard on your kidneys and when you add Tylenol into the mix you can end up in the ER looking like a puffer fish.

Take my advice on this one, it was not a fun experience. :eyes:

1. They really are.
I heard some statistic about how many people OD on the stuff... it's not even funny.

4. Tylenol OD's are very serious...it attacks the liver.
There are suicidal gestures where people take Tylenol, a bottle or so. People think it's like taking a bottls of aprrin, not advised but well... At any rate, Tylenor can permanently damage your liver with this type of over dose.

10. I don't doubt that.
I took two and they messed me up. My friend takes four at a time... I hate to think what her liver/kidneys are going through!

2. Marijuana is much safer.
Ask any doctor not working for the DEA.

8. That's why I broke Lonestar up into two words...
I liked the initials. :)

I had a tummy bug and became dehydrated. Who would have thought that two Tylenol would do that! :(

12. Ah, yes
I've had one of those types of bugs before, myself. I know how difficult they can make it to keep fluids in your system. Here's to many years of hydrated peacefulness. :toast:

5. Also, don't take Tylenol with alcoholic beverages
There was a big lawsuit some years agom in Virginia in which a lawyer claimed taking Tylenol with glasses of wine, etc. ended up ruining his kidneys.

7. yes they are
Much scarier than Aleve and I'm confident that they have killed more people. Very, very hard on the liver, too hard for an OTC drug in my humble view.

Please get well soon.

11. And don't give kids "Children's Tylenol"
or Baby Aspirin either.

Probably best to give them Children's Motrin. I think ibuprofen is far superior and safer than Tylenol for anyone, including children.

13. I agree.
I don't give my kids any medications containing acetaminopehn, and I try to avoid it myself. If my kids have a fever, I give them ibuprofen.

14. Tylenol sucks
My hubby used to take a lot of Tylenol for neck pain. He started having these weird blackouts - he'd get all lightheaded and have to sit or lay down before he fell down. After a lot of tests, an MRI and a bunch of questions from his doc, it came out that he was taking 2 or 3 Tylenol every night and that's what did it.
