1. RKZ is in no position to PM anyone at the moment.
You must have missed the excitement yesterday.

Anyhow.....Good call on the Minutemen. I've always loved them.

4. I most certainly did miss the fun.
Jeez, go off line for a few moments and all hell breaks loose. Can't you kids behave yourself for a minute?

Care to PM me with the summary?

3. The drummer in Christmas was my roommate back in the 80s
They were a lot of fun.

I have a ton of old Boston vinyl-including a Christmas compilation with Chrismas singing "Oh Holy Night"

7. W-o-w
Very little turns up on them in a Google search. I love "Fish Eye Sandwich." It's on a compilation tape a BF made for me years ago. He's long gone but I still treasure the tape." Did the drummer go on to Combustible Edison like the rest of them?

You have Beantown indie creds! My husband is a one-time follower of Boston punk, too, with many shows at the Middle East under his belt. I also had a colleague at my last job who was deep into the scene at the same time. I brought her one of my husband's old mix tapes and it made her positively foggy with nostalgia.

Next time I'm in Boston (and there will be a next time, my in-laws are there) maybe I'll look you up?

10. Yes, please look me up!
I spent my childhood at places like the Rat, Cantone's, the Inn Square Men's Bar, and the Underground.

I'd love to talk to your husband about some of the bands from back then. I knew a lot of people because it was such a small scene. Boston felt smaller back then too...

9. Further requests
Anyone got anything by Cordell Jackson, the rockin' grandma from Memphis? She had her own label, Moon Records, and appeared in a commercial saying to some rock kid, "You're pretty good--NOT!" and riffing on the gee-tar.
