Is it just me, or are coffee shops full of losers these days?

Or at least the people who hang out there during the day. I just went ot get a cup of tea and enjoy a few minutes. I walked in and saw a girl that looked just like Bjork - Hence I was instantly smitten. Then, she talked....VALLEY GIRL. Ugh, what a way to ruin a good perception.
So I sat down and couldn't help overhearing conversations...all they were doing was whining about their personal lives.
I mena JEEZ, coffee shops used to be a cool bastion of progressive, or at least interesting thought, and art, and music. Now it's the friggin whine-O-Thon.
These assholes were having the same conversations I have with MY friends! I like to think other people are more intersting than me. God damnit. Where Can I go to eaves drop on interesting chat?
