Today I was in a fairly bad mood and got stuck in traffic on the way home from work. Nothing was moving, so I decided to stop by a music store and kill some time. They had a really good sale, so I brought a few CDs. I brought the Best of Culture Club and got back in the car and popped it in my car CD player. I have never had so much fun in the car by myself. I was singing, dancing and bopping around to "Karma Khameleon" and "The War Song" (of course I was driving carefully). By the time I got home I was in a damn good mood. I walked in the house singing and happy, my significant other looked at me said, "What are you so happy about? I'd forgotten how much fun Culture Club's music was. Thank you, Boy George and Culture Club.

Amazing what music can do to your soul. Not a huge fan of Boy George's or anything but his music is indeed fun and happy. :)

2. Boy George was a damned good singer! |

Unfortunately, the media tended to ignore that in favor of his mode of dress, sexual orientation, drug addiction, and other accouterments. But what truly made the Culture Club worthwhile was their music, which I liked when it was new and still enjoy hearing from time to time.
