That reminds me, in Texas, there is a place with the Best, most unhealthy, garbagy nachos ever. I miss them ever since I moved up here. It was with some sort of cheap, velveta queso and they added tomatoes and peppers and they were just SO GOOD!

Here in Austin, I can think of atleast a handful of places that serve that heart attack on a plate!

6. I can't remember the name, |
|
But it was in a Mall food court in the Fort Worth area. Austin has fabulous food! There is a wonderful mexican food place there, at least I hope it is still there...it is family-run and instead of chips and salsa, they serve saltines, salsa and butter. I can't for the life of me remember the name of the place, but I could drive right to it from downtown.:9. It is very unassuming and so, so, good. It is near the "drag"...maybe you can give details. I haven't been in Austin for years, so my memory is not really good.

I have eaten at some of the best restraunts around with multiple ****, but it does not really get any better than that place. The ambiance is really cool too. It is just so GOOD!
I have to go to Austin again sometime! Yum.

11. I love their enchiladas |
|
with a big BLOP of guacamole on top!
That place hadn't changed in years, and then here just recently they added a patio thingy on it. Weird.
The same people own it, it's been family owned and operated since it's inception. It's most defiantly an Austin institution!

If Leonard Nemoy eats more salsa, he will become an unstoppable force of excellence!
Tears are streaming down my face!
Edited to add: They meet three times a year at various Mexican restaurants in Florida. They also have a Feast where you bring a dish, they prefer it's salsa related, but it's not mandatory.

"We at the LNSEMSF after instituting our new "No Doping" policy realized we needed a way to enforce it. Enter the LNSEMSF ACTION PATROL! This super secret department of the LNSEMSF is dedicated to keeping the fight to get Leonard Nimoy to eat more salsa totally clean. For those of you who don't know about the tragedy of doping I will explain it to you. " http://web.tampabay.rr.com/lnsemsf/English/english.html

17. Now you have me craving Sylvia's Mexican Restaurant in Covington, KY. |
|
I wonder if it is still there. They had the most wonderful fresh salsa and chips and I loved the chimis. Haven't been there since I moved away from Cincinnati, over 10 years ago.
