HAPPY 76TH BIRTHDAY TO BO DIDDLEY!
Edited on Thu Dec-30-04 10:06 PM by NightTrain
Can't believe I forgot about this until now! :spank:

Ellas McDaniel, a/k/a Bo Diddley, was born in McComb, Mississippi on December 28, 1928. He later moved to Chicago and recorded a string of beat-driven classics for the Checker label. They included "Bo Diddley," "I'm A Man," "Diddley Daddy," "Pretty Thing," "Diddy Wah Diddy," "Who Do You Love," "Mona," "Hey! Bo Diddley," "Dearest Darling," "Say Man," "Crackin' Up," "Road Runner," and "You Can't Judge A Book By Its Cover."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BO!!! :party::yourock::toast::headbang:

a lad. What a great performer!

"I walked forty-seven miles of barbed wire, I got a cobra snake for a necktie
A brand new house on the road side, and it's a-made out of rattlesnake hide
Got a band new chimney put on top, and it's a-made out of human skull
Come on take a little walk with me baby, and tell me who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?"

2. I saw him in 1989, at a little shithole in Naugatuck, Connecticut.
I believe the place was called the Night Shift Cafe. Whatever the case, that puny hole-in-the-wall was packed with a good 300 people. It was uncomfortable as hell, and Bo went on 45 minutes late. But I didn't care because once he finally took the stage, Bo Diddley played his ass off!

That was easily one of the best shows I ever saw. Rock on, Bo Diddley! :headbang:

4. I saw Bo Diddley
back in 1978 on the Strip when I was living in Hollywood with a rocker guy named Mark Ferris who broke my heart.
