5. tougher than I'd thought to choose
And I was back and forth between Cleese and Palin, but went with Chapman. I think he was the heart of it. The most Pythonesque.

Ever see the BBC Channel 4 mini-series GBH? It's about 10 years old, I think. CBC ran it in Canada. Just about the best television drama I've ever seen. Palin was brilliant.

10. Cleese Was Classic
Silly Walk, Dead Parrot, Blind Pew and the best Nigel/Twit

The dead parrot routine was the single funniest thing I have ever seen on TV.

11. None. They're ALL drop dead funny!
Eric Idle is the best songwriter, though.

As funny as it was, one of the most interesting things about "Flying Circus" is that it shows what a dreary place England was in the '70's. They've come a long way.

Edited on Fri Dec-31-04 12:39 AM by Itchinjim
Individually they were brilliant; Together they were absolute genius
They worked off each other better than any others in the troupe. Terry Jones is a close second.

13. I never vote on my own polls, but I voted on this one,
because I felt bad that Terry Jones didn't have any votes! I do love him whens he's dressed up as a woman though! :P

30. Love him too!
I would say that he is the best actor of the bunch. Just think of all the different characters he played in Life of Brian.

It's really hard to pick just one as your favorite, when they're really all your favorites.

27. chapman, with jones a close second
loved all of them as actors, but the insanity of chapman and jones as writers carries the day.

i dont think any of the other pythons coud have played king arthur or brian ad well as chapman did.
