Well pardon the fuck out of me, Mr. & Mrs. tech developers and marketers |
|
There is no simple system available so I can sit in my office, answer and place phone calls with a wireless headset so I'm not anchored by a cord, or where I don't have to lift the receiver off of my regular phone to make a wireless headset connection. This is absolutely fucking ridiculous.
We've got bluetooth wireless technology, and we have telephone software for computers. Who is going to be the first to step up and develop PC telephone software with wireless transmission to a headset? HUH? I mean BELOW $500, if it is even out there.
Okay, maybe someone as done it and I'm an unsophisticated dolt.
I really hate holding a telephone handset or being limited by a cord dangling from my headset.

From the link:
Cordless vs. Wireless: If you've got a cellular phone, there's a headset for you as well. Cell phone headsets free you to actually drive while talking on the phone in the car. They plug into a headset jack on your cellular telephone (most have them; if not, adapters are available), and you wear them on your head or perched in your ear, in either headband or over-the-ear style. Wireless cellular headsets can cost anywhere between $25 and $80, depending on the style and features.
That site sells cordless/wireless headsets for phones, cell phones and internet phones (telephony)
are you just trying to drive us  ?

"Internet phones" is a no go. I don't want to get on the Internet to make a local phone call.
Your quote in italics only applies to mobile phones.
But all of you have helped me define and understand the limits of technology. I guess I'll have to either hold the damn handset or stay with corded technology.
Muchas Gracias

Link: http://www.vtechphones.com/vtechui/store/dsp_products_list.cfm?parent=201By "wireless headsets" do you mean headsets that go into wireless phones or do you mean headsets without any wires attached to them?

Edited on Fri Dec-31-04 12:30 AM by Floogeldy
Nobody ever made a non-mobile phone into which one could plug in a bluetooth wireless transmitter that transmits to a wireless headset. This isn't rocket science!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Edit: Okay, okay, okay. Even a non-mobile phone would have to use mobile phone technology to transmit to a wireless headset, and the quality would be less than that of a corded phone.
But, wait, wait, wait. Portable phone technology!
