Embarrassing Question for Computer Geeks |
|
I used to know how to do this, but it's been so long I don't remember.
How do I burn a CD?
Back in the day, I'd d/l a song from Kazaa, run it through some kind of Winamp program which expanded the size of the file by 10x, and then I would use the burning software that used to be on my computer but no longer is, to burn a CD.
Now my hard drive has been wiped clean of all these programs, and I need to start from scratch. And the "new" Winamp program confuses me so if some kind soul could walk me step by step through the process, I'd be forever in your debt. Thanks!

1. If you have XP, and the latest Windows Media Player, you can use that... |

4. Then I think below post is best... iTunes has a fairly simple interface. |

2. if it's just a music cd you're after, download itunes |
|
it's like winamp only much much better. You can burn any playlist (which can have mp3, wav, aac or other files) to an audio cd with the click of a button.
apple.com/itunes
(it's for both mac and windows)

10. question about itunes |
|
how do I get it to refresh the songs on the computer so its always up to date? After songs "appear" on my computer through an unnamed program, is there an easy way to update the library?

http://www.dbpoweramp.com/cdwriter.htmThey have a special package for Win98. I use all of their stuff. It's free. This is their player with skin. Cool.

9. iTunes does not work for 98 |

Sign the petition here. :-) http://www.petitiononline.com/win98me2/petition.htmlMet a few unhappy iPod purchasers in the past few weeks who did not read the fine print carefully. iTunes is for XP and 2000 only. And Macs of course. :-)
