I need to do that myself. I have dozens of ideas for stories that I never write down. They're fully fledged in my mind and I don't put them on paper.

of writing is just sitting down and WRITING.

I used to love writing poetry and I have written a few short stories in my time as well. It's a good feeling when you get something done. I haven't written anything in quite some time, though. I used to have a lot of personal issues that created a lot of tension which was good for artistic expression. Those issues have been resolved and it seems like I'm content to just write my little messages on DU.

Are you planning on submitting the story for publication? I know of one little magazine that one of my English professors publishes every quarter. If I can remember the name of the publication I'll send it to you if you think you might try your hand at getting published.
