Roll Call. Who's up and why? And for a random question...
If you could be anywhere on holiday right now, where would it be?

I'm up (obviously.) Why? Coffee after dinner and a prolonged afternoon nap.

I could do with a shot of the tropics - Bora Bora sounds good.

So it's not always freezing.

Drumheller and the environs is a beautiful area. I love the landscape of Southern Alberta. I used to live in Lethbridge and loved hiking through the coulees.

I'm up. I'm always up at this time of night. Always have been. Currently drinking again. Damn Bush has made me an alky again. Oh well. If I could be anywhere I wanted, I'd be in San Francisco listening to great punk rock with some so-called "Bush bashers" aka the people that tell the truth.

11. I am still awake.
Why? The bar is still open and I needed to get out of the house. Luckily I can pick up the WiFi signal from my house to work on a webpage.

And I would like to be in Iceland right now. I have always wanted to go there. And the last time I had the cash I was talked into going to Europe for a month.

I just like to joke with this picture, usually as my retirement home. As you noticed, well kept grounds. So someone cares.

I kinda prefer Ohau though

More things to see and do.

22. Last time I went to Hawaii, I went to Ohau
I went with a friend who had never been outside of Waikiki. I took her all over the place. My family was there for a month when I was a kid.

I'd be more than happy to go to either island.

23. I noticed that.
Spend all that money and go all that distance and never get farther than walking distance from the hotel bar. I never understood that. One could spend a month on Oahu alone and not see everything. Get behind the touristy facade. Much more interesting.

25. It was great when I was a kid
We were in a house, amongst the locals. Has a fab time. I missed seeing Hawaii 5-O being filmed though, as I was home recovering from a major burn. After being on the island for 3 weeks, it's still not a good idea to spend 7 hours at the beach.

I love to get off the beaten path - always the best part of a trip.

erm, and I don't know who the guitarist was. All I knew was that Mark played lead and his brother Dave played rhythm. If you know more then please enlighten me!

And who's Chet Atkins? (I've got that bad feeling that I'm supposed to know something but don't, and that it means I'm a total doofus).

40. Chet Atkins/aka Godfather of Nashville guitarists
........He stylized a finger style approach to playing that emphasized a "walking" bass.....He passed away a yr ago while in his 80s.....He was every bit the force in guitar folklore as is Les Paul.....btw, Ricky Skaggs (ala Bluegrass fame) highlighted the signature guitar solos' for Dire Straits....Best Wishes

I'm not even sure if I should attempt sleep now. I need to be at my parents' place in about 6 hours for yet another holiday dinner. I'm still quite wired, so it would take me some time to get to sleep.

If I can stay awake long enough tonight I'll be OK. If I fall asleep early, I'll wake up really early. Vicious cycle.

Then I slept for about 4 1/2 hours. I was up for several hours and then I napped from about 1 to 4. I've only been up for 14 hours. I should stay up another 16-17 hours if I stay up.

It's about 45 minutes to my parents' house.
