1. Have you listened to his duet with Maria McKee
"Nothing but a Child" from Copperhead Road?

If so, why don't you own any of her albums? Huh?

3. She was the singer for Lone Justice
back in the mid-80's, and has a few solo albums. Janis Joplin meets Patsy Cline.

5. Good one! My favs
are I Remember You, and Christmas in Washington.

The Revolution Starts Now and Rich Mans War are personal political anthems right now.

6. I love his stuff with Del McCourey, too!
The CDs he's put out in the last 6-7 years are his best, I think. I don't have his new one, but I have Jerusalem, and that one blew me away.

11. I love Jerusalem
both the album and the song because its so full of hope. His new one is great and even more bluntly political.

13. It's a bit "different" if you don't like his stuff, but I think the best
9/11 song is "Outside of the Inside" by Richard Thompson. it's a great song if you get a chance to check it out!

8. NOW dammit!!!
hehe
I love that song. No more "when the revolution comes" bullshit. We have to make it happen now and accept that no one and nothing else will start it for us.

9. I met Steve Earle once
In fact I remember the day 12/31/99.

He was at the same party I was. Someone said hey "Amish (not my real name) this is Steve. Steve this is Amish." I said Hi, he said Hi, then we went back to eating our steaks.

I wanted to ask him 1000 questions, but I did not want to bother him.

Ask me about the time I met Robert Deniro. The story is even less interesting.

10. Steve Earle kicks ass.
And, he was nominated for a Grammy for Best Solo Rock
Performance and Best Contemporary Folk Album
for "The Revolution Starts...Now."

14. They've not been held yet.
"The 47th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be held on Sunday, Feb. 13, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and once again will be broadcast live on CBS from 8 – 11:30 p.m."

Steve Earle and his music is like pearls before swine as far as the GRAMMY people go, imho.

19. I ran out of Steve CD's and switched to Willie Nelson
Mamma's don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys...

I know that song is sappy but I still love it.
