I'm not even talking about the weather up here. I hate January because the month has a way of killing off my loved ones. Check out this list of family members who've died during the first month of the year:
January 10, 1998: Dad
January 18, 1981: Grandfather
January 21, 1991: Uncle Frank
January 31, 1994: Mom
And though not in January itself, these three deaths were awfully close:
December 17, 1984: Cousin Raymond
February 2, 1994: Aunt Agostina
December 20, 1994: Uncle Louie
Now do you understand why I never look forward to January?

What a brutal month it must be for you, Im so sorry.
Both of my parents are gone as well, along with most of my aunts and uncles. (I have 3 left)
I miss them constantly.
Sending you a  !

All my blood relatives are gone.
My wife's relatives are now my family (along with our baby boy).

9. Smoking killed my father, too. |
|
50 years of cigarettes caught up with my dad when he was 62. His respiratory system shut down, rendering my dad unable to breathe without mechanical assistance. 48 hours later, the man was dead. Hard to believe it's been almost seven years since that horrible day!

10. It gave my dad brain cancer |
|
Awful, awful disease. He started slowing down to the point he couldn't walk or even talk coherently anymore. I knew the day the ambulance came to take him to a hospice he wasn't coming home :-(
