and a good chunk of it in the Groups...mostly just lurking around the other forums...

I'll occasionally post a thing or two in GD if a topic peaks my interests but...ALL MY FRIENDS ARE HERE IN THE LOUNGE MAN!!!

9. I've Had Friends Tell Me I'm A "Pop Culture" Democrat...

I'm not sure exactly what that means, I'm not even sure it's a compliment:) All I know is, it seems as if the folks in The Lounge seem very similar to most of the friends I've had in my lifetime. I love sports, movies, cats, music and talking about food. Sounds like the place for me to be!

11. I Always Check Out 'Latest' and Read a Lot of Posts from Everywhere

but the vast majority of my posts - especially since the election - have been in the lounge. I'm completely argued-out, and I just want to participate in the kaleidoscope that is DU.

16. I love other fora as well, and when I've moderated

I've often asked specifically to moderate GD, but I'm most happy posting in the lounge. I feel it builds a sense of community and helps us connect more with one another. We become less the irrational dickhead who won't see reason in our prized thread, and more rounded, developed human beings with perspective and intelligence.

This is the place where we get the chance to learn personal things about those with whom we debate.

17. I laugh here.

At least once a night I wake up the dog with a hoot of laughter. I repeat the funny to him, he snorts and goes back to sleep. Life, my friends, can be very good.
