That will do it! Could we in the Illinois Forum get your input on the best Chicago Delicacy? You seem to be a man who knows his foods well. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=150&topic_id=2787&mesg_id=2787

4. Sorry, I don't know my Chicago well. But if you're ever in Chambana... |
|
Try Famous Dave's BBQ on Mattis Road in Champaign. Good stuff.

6. Are you from the Chambana area? |
|
Are you familiar with Springfield, IL's treat? The Horseshoe? Open face ham sandwich with french fries covered in cheese?

9. Well it's not a resturant, it's just a dish |
|
You will find it quite often in Central Illinois, I think. I use to live in Springfield before moving to Chicago and the Horseshoe is the official meal of Springfield because it was invented there. Do you check out the Illinois forum often? I know that davesand is an expert of Chambana. You should just make a post asking people for hot spots in town.

8. There's a great Mexican restaurant |
|
in Elk Grove, I know because I went there with my Dad a couple of times. Margueritas? They have really good chicken enchiladas.

I just went to the restaurant in Elk Grove with my Dad twice. I haven't been back for a long time.
